Bro Coffee Roastery – Whole Bean Coffee Amico dall'Italia Espresso Roast 1kg
- Brazilian arabica with 82 SCA points and a medium (4/5) roast inspired by Italian espresso. Milk chocolate, hazelnuts and orange over a full body – made for espresso machines, moka pots and milk-based drinks.
Bro Coffee Roastery Amico dall'Italia Espresso Roast – our tribute to Italian espresso
The name of this coffee – Amico dall'Italia, meaning “a friend from Italy” – is no coincidence. We created it with classic Italian espresso in mind: intense, rich and topped with a thick crema. The beans for Bro Coffee Roastery Amico dall'Italia Espresso Roast, however, are sourced in Brazil – near Guaxupé in the state of Minas Gerais, where arabica of the Yellow Bourbon, Mundo Novo and Obatã varieties ripens at an altitude of 800-1000 masl.
We give it its Italian character in our roastery. After natural processing – drying the whole, unpeeled coffee cherries – we roast the beans to a medium (4/5) level. It is one of the darkest profiles in our roastery. The longer roast development deepens the notes of milk chocolate and hazelnuts, strengthens the full, heavy body and emphasises a refined bitterness. The medium-high acidity with a hint of orange keeps the espresso lively, while the finish stays delicately sweet.
This coffee is designed primarily for espresso machines: it produces a thick, intense espresso that tastes great on its own and as the foundation for milk-based drinks. It also works well in a moka pot, French Press and AeroPress.
Quality confirmed by the SCA score
What is the SCA score? The Specialty Coffee Association is a global authority in the coffee world, setting uncompromising standards. Qualified experts evaluate the beans on a strict 100-point scale during professional tasting sessions. The finest nuances of the brew are analysed: from aroma, through acidity, all the way to sweetness and balance. Exceeding the 80-point threshold is the ultimate proof that the beans are completely free from defects and belong to the absolute global top tier.
At Bro Coffee Roastery, we do not compromise. Every bean that goes into our roaster undergoes rigorous selection. The Amico dall'Italia Espresso Roast coffee has achieved an excellent score of 82 points on the SCA scale, which proudly classifies it within the elite group of speciality quality. For you, this means a guarantee of objectively measured perfection, a flawlessly clean taste and a unique sensory profile that meets strict, artisanal standards.

Craft roasting at BroRoastery.com
We roast these beans to a medium level (4 on a 5-point scale) – darker than most of our coffees, in the classic Italian espresso style. This roast deepens the chocolate notes, strengthens the body and gives the coffee a pronounced, pleasant bitterness, while in an espresso machine it produces a thick, lasting crema.
All our coffees are roasted fresh, in small batches, to reach you in optimal condition. The best flavour qualities develop after a minimum of 7 days from the roast date – following a natural degassing process that stabilises the profile and allows the aroma and balance to fully shine.
The high quality of our beans and the artisanal approach to the roasting process is no coincidence. The commitment to maintaining the highest global standards is confirmed by the fact that our brand's producer is a proud member of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). By choosing Bro Coffee Roastery, you are opting for a product created by true experts and passionate enthusiasts.
We roast Amico dall'Italia with a morning espresso in mind – drunk standing at the bar, the Italian way. Short, intense, crowned with dense crema – and with that chocolate and hazelnut note that makes you want a second one straight away.
