Bro Coffee Roastery Costa Rica San Rafael – Tarrazú Speciality
Costa Rica San Rafael is a coffee sourced from the renowned Tarrazú region, where altitude, volcanic soils and a stable microclimate create ideal conditions for Arabica beans to ripen. Plantations located at 1200-2000 metres above sea level allow the coffee fruit to mature more slowly, resulting in greater complexity and natural sweetness in the cup.
Beans of the Catuai and Caturra varieties undergo washed processing, giving the coffee a clean and well-structured profile. The flavour is led by notes of cherry and plum, supported by hints of chocolate and almond. Delicate, well-integrated acidity and a creamy body create an elegant and harmonious cup.
This is a speciality coffee scored at 84.25 SCA points, combining approachability with a clearly defined quality profile – perfect both for everyday enjoyment and mindful tasting.

Craft roasting at CoffeeBroastery.com
We roast our coffee to a medium-light level (3 on a 5-point scale) to highlight natural sweetness and creamy body without losing balance and pleasant nuances. This roast works equally well for espresso and alternative brewing methods.
All our coffees are roasted fresh, in small batches, to reach you in optimal condition. The best flavour qualities develop after a minimum of 7 days from the roast date – following a natural degassing process that stabilises the profile and allows the aroma and balance to fully shine.
Costa Rica San Rafael is an example of how much we value clarity and balance in coffee. A clean profile, elegant sweetness and subtle fruitiness make it one of those coffees we gladly return to – both in espresso and in pour-over.
